You might receive it or ignore it. But sometimes, you get swayed and believed by the text messages you received from anonymous phone numbers. How can you recognize these text messages? Here are some real text messages used by scammers.

Phone Text Scams

2. "Ma nakitext lang ako. Dito ako hospital nadisgrasya kami! Nawala CP ko. Please paloadan niyo ito Smart # 09395102122 ng 300. May emergency kami tatawagan importante.

You can recognize some common elements with these text messages:
  • The message doesn't come from the official GLOBE SYSTEM number. You can determine it's from GLOBE if the sender is GLOBE, GCASH, GLOBEMYBILL (or other related globe trademarks). Globe will not use a particular number such as 09974155334, 09163256948 or other same kind of numbers. Instead of a phone number, the word GLOBE, GCASH, GLOBEMYBILL will appear as your sender and that's a legitimate message. Take note of that if you receive a suspicious message.
  • Scammers will devise different ways to entice you to transfer load or money to them. MONEY, that's the goal and motivation of the scammers.
