"Pursuant to the mandate of the Office of the Ombudsman as mobilizer in the fight against corruption…Team Aksyon Agad is hereby established,” Acting Ombudsman Casimiro stated in his Office Order No. 261.
According to the Acting Ombudsman, the objective of the Team Aksyon Agad is "to provide quick response to the request for delivery of basic government services and prompt action on projects or front-line services of the government.”
He further said in his Order that, "the team may likewise accept and investigate complaints, if so warranted...”
Acting Ombudsman Casimiro stated that the Team Aksyon Agad will be coordinating with agencies such as the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the local government units concerned.
"The Team Aksyon Agad’s initial area of operation will be in Quezon City” Acting Ombudsman Casimiro said.
