National Congress on Thrusts and Directions for BSIE and BTTE Towards the K to 12 Curriculum

The Philippine Association of Industrial and Technology Educators (PAITE), Inc. in collaboration with the College of Industrial Education of the Technological University of the Philippines (CIE-TUP) will hold its National Congress on Thrusts and Directions for BSIE and BTTE Towards the K to 12 Curriculum on December 4-6, 2012.
The Congress aims to:
  1. review the K to 12 Curriculum and identify areas of competencies that would strenghthen the implementation of Industrial and Technology Education in the Elementary and Secondary levels of education;
  2. craft the Curriculum Framework for Industrial and Technology Education Program of TEI’s vis-a-vis Grade 7-12 of the K to 12 Curriculum; and
  3. frame a position statement strengthening the implementation of Industrial and Technology Education in basic education.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
