Touch screen doesn’t work after replace screen and digitizer.

My wife cracked the screen on her Apple Watch. I ordered a new screen and digitizer from Ifixit. I even paid more and got the sapphire crystal. My brother who has replaced screen on many Apple devices changed it for me. Now the touch screen hardly ever works. We can enter the password but 95% of the time we can’t even open an app. Help!
