Brand new TV has no sound.

Brand new TV has no sound. All I'm running is my stream smart box that works fine on other tv. It's rum using ac power and hdmi cord. The picture is fine just no sound. I check audio tab on TV and everything appears to be correct. Did I buy a bad tv? ANSWERS:
