Can my bad original tv sound be replaced with speakers for new sound?

Might want to take a look at your unit's owner manual and/or the TV's back for Audio Out connectors. If they are present you can use them to hook up your TV's sound to your stereo (for example). If supported, you should be able to access your TV's options menu,to switch from internal audio to external audio. If unsure, might want to post your TV's model # so participants have a clearer understanding of what you are trying to accomplish.
