changed battery not working what next?
iPod cycling between sad face icon, very low batt message and apple logo. Changed battery. Same cycling. Can get diagnostics but i do not understand them. Computer does not see iPod at all.

sometimes the usb port delivers not enough energy to charge the device to the point where it gets recognized by the computer.
had this with lots of motorola razr and krzr - the can be in the ""loop"" for days
had this also by an iPod mini - only for about 10 minutes - and then it was over the ""point""
i would measure the batteries - if the voltage is around 3,7v - i would say that the logicboard could be the troublemaker"
