Cracked screen, no replacements to be found. Even from Sansa!

"Sorry to say, im fixing my brothers Sansa Fuze now, and the only place I could find a screen was off ebay for $16! I've noticed they are not an easy part to track down. However if you search ebay, possibly craigs list, and keep at it for a little while you're sure to find someone selling another with a broken wheel, audio-in port, etc., for cheap!(or atleast cheaper than a new one)

I droped my fuse, and now the screen doesn't come on. It is not cracked though. The blue ring lights up, and it is recognized by the computer. It also plays, but without the screen it's a potluck what comes out. Can it be fixed?
