Lights up when connected but doesn't go any further.

Lights up when connected but doesn't go any further. I have this problem too.. Was in house that got flooded, probably in water for approx 12 hours. Can it be repaired. Have tried drying it out over radiator. Lights up when connected but doesn't go any further. Any ideas?? ANSWERS:
