My tape keeps spilling after changing the belt?

My tape keeps spilling after changing the belt? Hello, I recently bought a broken Teac A-106 in hopes to fix it but after putting the belt on my tapes keep spilling I believe it’s because the left resell doesn’t move when I play the cassette but I don’t know what the problem would be.
