Replaced battery & battery charge logo on when charged but never moves
Ipod not used for around 6-8 months after hard drive broke so replaced it but could not get ipod to charge [also ipod will not appear in My Computer or in itunes - I'm aware this is a combination of no battery and a need to reinstall the firmware]. Assumed battery was dead as it was drained, so bought a replacement from ifixit. I installed it seemingly without any problems but when I try to charge it using the wall charger, nothing happens. When I connect to my PC the battery charge icon appears [though it sporadically disappears for 10-20 seconds then reappears again]. Ipod has been on charge like this for almost 6 hours but the charging icon is still there showing no progress [i.e., it's not flashing or moving forward]. Can anyone help please?
