UBP X800 with no Home Menu
It seems that the UBP X800 only show home menu after playing blurry disc.

If it doesn’t display a dvd video but only displays the menus try cleaning the laser lens and check if that resolves the problem.
If still no good try performing a hard reset on the player and check if that resolves the problem.

If it works check for any firmware updates for the player. Search online for Sony UBP X800 firmware as there appears to be one released just recently. I don’t know if this one is applicable for your region so that’s why you should check for it from where you are. Alternatively, if the player is connected to the internet and the Home screen menus work then use the Update Firmware option in the Setup menu."
