Water/Ice stops after changing filter but works with no filter

Water/Ice stops after changing filter but works with no filter I have changed my filter on my Whirlpool refrigerator many times. I recently ordered a replacement on Amazon prime (probably not the official one but it looked the same). After replacing it, then water stopped working. I replaced it with the old one and still wasn't working. Then I removed it and water works and it makes ice but it's unfiltered.
