Why does it not turn on after 30 days unplugged?
I have a Kenmore HE3 washing machine and it has been unplugged for 30 days or so and now that I have plugged it back in there are not lights on and it will not start. Am I missing something ? There is power at the outlet so that is not the problem. Do I need to wait for a few minutes for it to boot up or what ?

Remember thi is a 220 volt plug. Both sides need to be getting 110 each, so test them both and check your breaker box. It would hurt to throw these breaker switches to insure good contacts. If the lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.
