Why is the screen on my Toshiba 32S3653 so dark?

"Adding images to an existing question to post some pictures with your question. From what it reads like, this is a backlight issue. Most likely a bad power board but there is also a possibility of a bad main board or bad backlight strips. Let us see what it shows and eventually you will have to remove the back cover and take a look at the boards. Post some images of those as well.

Since it is a Toshiba, service manuals are hard to come by. Toshiba is paranoid about their manuals and does not want anybody to fix their stuff. I attached the schematic for the PSU. Measure the 24V and 12V rails and see if those voltages are present.
