Why my screen no display but the light indicator was on

Why my screen no display but the light indicator was on When i plug my 32inch tcl tv the power indication was light on but the screen was no display and when i put flash light on the monitor i saw the image but not clearly can you help me what was the possible problem and how much will it cost for the repairing?
