UP Manila announces their 9th Course on Food Safety

The Department of Nutrition, College of Public Health (CPH), University of the Philippines (UP) Manila will hold its 9th Course on Food Safety on May 9-13, 2011 at the Press Room, Annex II Building of the College, UP Manila, 625 Pedro Gil St., Manila. The course aims to equip the participants with the concepts and principles of food safety, the hazards of food and drink, its etiology, health and nutrition applications, prevention and control measures. Likewise, it provides them knowledge of the various food safety systems which they can apply in their respective schools/institutions.

This activity is intended for the provincial/city/municipal health officers, nutritionist-dietitians, food technologists, school health officers, sanitary engineers, inspectors, food regulatory officers, hotel and food services managers, hygiene and sanitation officers, executive chefs, health education and promotion officers, teachers/educators and students.

The registration fee, which includes course materials, kit, lunch and snacks for five (5) days and field visit (accommodation excluded), is as follows:

Early Bird Registrants (On or before April 15, 2011)	PhP 7,000.00
On-site Registrants	PhP 7,500.00

A non-refundable reservation fee of Five Hundred Pesos (PhP 500,00) will be required from the participants to be deducted to the course fee. Payments shall be deposited at the Bank of Philippine Islands (BPI), Taft Avenue Branch, in the account name of UP-CPH Foundation, Inc. at Savings Account No. : 3061-0738-67.
