Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Membership Program 2012-2013

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) encourages the students and youth to become members of the PRC and to support its fund drive program. This is in pursuant to Republic Act (RA) No. 10072 entitled "Philippine Red Cross Act of 2009."

The annual membership fee stated in Paragraph 2b of DepEd Order No. 41, s. 2012 is Thirty Five Pesos (PhP35.00). However, due to the increasing standard of living each student may contribute Fifty Pesos (PhP50.00) which can gain the following personal accident assistance benefits, being a bonafide member of PRC: 

Accidental Death, Disablement and DismembermentPhP 12,000.00
Unprovoked Murder and AssaultPhP 12,000.00
Accidental Medical ReimbursementPhP 5,000.00
Accidental Burial AssistancePhP 5,000.00
Daily Hospital Allowance (max 60 days)PhP 150.00/day

Collections can be made on a voluntary basis subject to the provisions under DepEd Order No. 41, s. 2012 entitled "Revised Guidelines on the Opening of Classes."
