Lend a Hand Project

The Philippine Welfare for the Youth and Handicapped Persons Incorporated (PWYHPI) will launch its "Lend a Hand Project” for the Year 2012 by virtue of the Presidential Proclamation No. 240, declaring the period from Year 2002 to Year 2012 as the Philippine Decade of the Person with Disabilities and the government realization of the goals and objectives of the Republic Act (RA) No. 7277 cited "Magna Carta” for the disabled persons enacted by the Senate and the House of Representatives on July 22, 1991 at the Metro Manila, an act providing for the rehabilitation, self-development and self-reliance of disabled person and their integration into the mainstream of society.
The main objective of PWYHPI is to assist the plight of the underprivileged persons with disabilities.

The PWYHPI conducts various projects such as medical and dental mission services, feeding, immunization and nutrition program, livelihood and training program, gift giving and distribution of relief goods, scholarship, educational assistance program, and disaster relief operation.
