What Is The Meaning Of Deja Vu In

DEJA VU – There are several words in Tagalog that don’t have a direct meaning when you translate it into English.

As such, in this article, we are going to tackle the meaning of Deja Vu in the Filipino language based on context. Deja Vu is a French word that describes the sensation of a previously similar event reoccurring in the present.

This feeling would often times leave you saying “I’ve been her before”. Meanwhile, according to a study from Healthline, between 60 to 80 percent of the population experiences Deja Vu.

There is no direct translation of Deja Vu in the Tagalog language. However, we could use the phrase “muling nangyari” or “nangyari muli”. You could also use the phrase “parang naramdaman ko na ito dati”.

Here are some example sentences:
When he got back to school, Peter felt Deja Vu when he was walking down the street.Hector entered the room and felt a sense of deja vu with his emotions as he was looking at the paintings. I was stuck feeling deja vu after me and my bestfriend started to talk again.

In Tagalog, these sentences can be translated as:

Nang siya’y bumalik sa paaralan, naramdaman ni Peter na parang naranasan niya na dati ang mga kaganapan habang naglalakad sa kalye.Pumasok si Hector sa kuwarto at naramdaman niya dati ang mga emosyon nito habang tinitignan ang mga larawan.Hindi ko ma alis ang pakiramdam na parang muling nangyari na ito nang mag simulang mag kuwentuhan kami ng aking munting kaibigan.
