The Philippine Society of Youth Science Clubs (PSYSC), Inc., will hold the 2013 National Youth Science, Technology and Environment Summer Camp (2013 NYSTESC) with the theme The Voyage of Callisto: Unlocking the Secrets of the Ocean on April 9-12, 2013 at the La Virginia Leisure Park and Amusement Resort, Inc., Barangay Manggahan, Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas.
The Summer Camp aims for the participants to understand the current trends and breakthroughs in Oceanography together with their practical applications in achieving sustainable development in the Philippines, and to promote research and development (R&D) among the science club members, advisers and the youth.
The activity is open to all science club members and advisers from both public and private secondary schools nationwide. Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
