Manchester International Holdings Unlimited Corporation (MIH) was incorporated as Interphil Laboratories, Inc. on November 6, 1974 primarily to manufacture, process and package drugs, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and veterinary products. On November 21, 2008, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the change in the Company's name to its present one. SEC likewise, approved the change in MIH's primary purpose to that of a holding company.
On July 10, 2008, The Board of MIH approved the creation of two new wholly-owned subsidiaries under MIH. The two companies are First Pharma Industries Inc., a toll manufacturing company, later renamed Interphil Laboratories, Inc. (Interphil), and Lancashire Realty Holding Corp. (Lancashire), a realty company. The operating assets of MIH were moved to Interphil and the real estate assets to Lancashire. These transfers were executed by way of tax-free exchanges following which MIH shall gain absolute control of Interphil and Lancashire.
The company does not engage in any activities other than and in connection with the holding of shares of Interphil Laboratories, Inc. and Lancashire Realty Holding Corp. Manchester (formerly Interphil) also continues to believe in the prospects of the healthcare manufacturing business and real estate.
