The Tanghalang Filipino (TPA will celebrate its 25th theater season of
dramatizing the best of Philippine theater and awakening the cultural
consciousness of the Filipino audience. The celebration coincides with
the 150th Birth Anniversary of the national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal. The
TP's theater season will open with the musical adaptation of his novel,
"Noli Me Tangere. "
This original work features the libretto by national artist, Bienvenido Lumbrera, music by Ryan Cayabyab, costumes by national artist Salvador Bernal and directed by Audie Gemora. This play will be shown at the Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino (Little Theater), Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) on the following dates:
