PhilHealth Deferment of OFW Premium Increase and Discounted Rates for Advance Payments

PhilHealth - Premium increase for Overseas Filipino Workers to Php 2,400.00 per annum is deferred
to January 1, 2013.
This policy is in accordance with PhilHealth Board Resolution No. 1590, s. 2012 and PhilHealth Circular No. 07, s. 2012 issued in response to the request of civil society and non-government organizations.

Overseas Filipino Workers may avail of the old premium rate of Php 1,200.00 per annum should they opt to pay the FULL premium contribution for the next 2 to 5 years on or before December 30, 2012.

For OFWs who have paid Php 900.00 starting January 1, 2012, the amount shall be considered their premium contribution for the first nine (9) months of the year only.

Thus, to ensure continuity of coverage for the remaining three (3) months, the Php300.00 balance should be settled by the member or his representative on or before the renewal of  membership coverage.
