Reports and news in the internet have spread that Malaysia Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, have been allegedly involved in a sex video scandal in a hotel on February 21, 2011.

A shadowy figure, known as "Datuk T", accused Anwar Ibrahim of having a sexual intercourse with an unidentified woman in a sex video.
"Datuk T" a hidden figure, wants not to mention his real identity. "Datuk T" stated that the sex video is around 22 minute playtime involving Andwar Ibrahim having sex with a woman said to be a foreigner prostitute at a hotel. The timestamp of the video was on February 21, 2011: 10.23pm to 10.45pm.
In March 21, 2011, "Datuk T" arranged a meeting with a selected media men and gathered them in a room in Carcosa Seri Negara to show them the alleged sex video scandal of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. He said that this sex video has fell into his hands after Anwar Ibrahim asked him to return into the hotel room to look for his Omega watch. But what "Datuk T" found out inside the room where the alleged sex scene happened, were a bunch of wires and video cameras behind the dresser. He then quickly removed and carried those devices. He added that he was able to find the Omega watch but decided to hide the recording devices because he was fed up by the politicians behavior.
Reports said that copies of the sex video scandal are distributed to the media men.
According to "Datuk T", "(He is not) the pious person with high moral values and integrity as portrayed. Therefore, he is not fit to be a leader".
In March 21, 2011 (5:30pm), Anwar told in a press conference that during the alleged time of the sexual act, he attended a Parti Keadilan Rakyat staff meeting at his residence. After that, he spent some time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He even tweeted and updated his Facebook status at that particular time, which is around 10.30pm.

When Anwar was asked if he owned an Omega watch, he said, "I own an Omega watch but it is kept by my wife." He even told at the press conference that he didn't even know who "Datuk T" is.
Anwar also said in the conference,
"I call on the parties (behind this sex video) to stop dragging the public and country into dirty and obscene politics."
"It is a desperate act and the timing is perfect."
"Everytime we face elections - in 1999, 2004 and 2008 and now again."
"Our members and supporters will not be generally duped into believing these claims"
The PKR (also know as People's Justice Party) leaders was on his defense side during the press conference. PKR communications director Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad told in his tweet that, "This is just doctor video of Anwar". While PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution challenged the mysterious "Datuk T" to reveal himself before making accusations against Anwar.
"Who is this Datuk T? We cannot just respond to any Tom, Dick or Harry. He is brave enough to challenge Anwar, but does not dare to expose himself. There needs to be some credibility," Saifuddin said when contacted.
He said the entire exercise was a sign of Umno's and Barisan Nasional's desperation in their bid to demolish Anwar.
"This has been part of a failed smear campaign for the past 12 years."
"This was also timed to divert attention away from issues of corruption and scandal in Sarawak," he said adding he was confident the party would pass this 'test' because of his firm belief that Anwar had been made a victim.
PKR's Batu MP Tian Chua, in his tweet, described the "special viewing of a doctored video of Anwar Ibrahim" to the media as a desperate tactic by Barisan Nasional to distract the debate from policies and governance ahead of the Sarawak polls.
"(Barisan) shifted to focus on smearing and character assassination. The whole purpose of the exercise is to smear (Anwar's name).
"The people who presented the video viewing in Carcosa this morning won't even reveal their identities," he said.
Tian Chua said he expected the mainstream media to play the story "to the extreme".
In March 22, 2011, Anwar Ibrahim filed a report regarding this issue to the Dang Wangi
police headquarters. He denied the allegations and told that he is not the man in
that sex video.
