Administration of the Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) 2012

The Department of Education (DepEd) through the National Education Testing and Research Center (NETRC), with the assistance of the division and school personnel shall undertake the Administration of the Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) on November 18, 2012 (Sunday) for Luzon and on November 25, 2012 (Sunday) for Visayas and Mindanao as per DepEd Order No. 32, s. 2002 and DepEd Order No. 26, s. 2012.
The last day of registration shall be on September 30, 2012.

In relation to this, the NETRC shall conduct the National Conference on the Standardized Administration of the Philippine Educational Placement Test for the purposes of updating information and resolving issues/concerns on testing.

The following topics shall be discussed in the said conference:
  1. Proper evaluation of documents submitted by applicants;
  2. Standard procedure in test administration;
  3. Accuracy in budgetary requirements and allocation;
  4. Delivery and retrieval scheme of test materials; and
  5. Dissemination/Implications of test results.
Authorized to attend the activity in designated venues and dates are the Division Testing Coordinators (DTCs), one (1) from every division, with at least fifty (50) PEPT registrants. Below are the dates, venues and clustering of regions for the Conference:

The DTCs are instructed to bring the actual number of PEPT registrants. In cases where there are visually-impaired registrants, the DTCs will indicate whether their birth dates and last grades/year levels are completed or not. The braille form of test booklets in the elementary differ from the secondary. The DTCs will also specify whether the registrant is a braille reader or not.

The DTCs who have not yet submitted the NAT data are also directed to bring/send the actual enrolment for SY 2012-2013 of Grade 3 pupils (Public schools only except Madaris), Grade 6 and Fourth Year students, both public and private schools with permit to operate in soft and hard copies using the following format with Excel.

All participants must attend only on the date and venue where their region is clustered. Conference proper will start at exactly 8:00 a.m. Participants can be accommodated in the afternoon before the scheduled conference.

Traveling expenses and allowable expenses shall be charged to NETRC Funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
