After repair Apple Watch won’t turn on

I needed to replace my force touch ribbon. Followed all the steps and reassembled the Apple Watch except for removing the final paper on adhesive and closing the Apple Watch face. Tried turning Apple Watch on and it won’t respond. What trouble shooting steps can I take to find the solution?
