Can I wire the shutter for firing the camera from a distance?

Can I wire the shutter for firing the camera from a distance?

I have a number of W-290’s and I would like to set them off simultaneously. Can I teardown the camera to the shutter button and solder wires to that shutter switch and drag them outside in some discreet way so that I can operate the shutter from a distance?
