everytime I plug in my hd windows pc asks for disk check

everytime i plug in my hd pc askss me for disk check. i follow the steps but scan stops at certain point. few days back a recycler virus atttacked the problem prevails since then. though recycler has been remmovedd andd not detected aagain i think its still there
