How do I get the lens to go back in?

How do I get the lens to go back in? My daughter knocked my camera off the table. Now, the Lens will not go back in. It stays out and when the camera is turned on it gives a lens error screen. I have taken the battery out and tried turning it off and on a couole times and still nothing. Someone help please!

"This is not something you can fix yourself. The telescoping lenses on this type of camera are quite delicate, it has most likely been knocked out of alignment (i.e., bent).

Do not try to force the lens back in, you might do additional damage.

Take the camera to a reputable repair shop and ask for a quote."
