I also had the same issue. I could sign on to my Toshiba Satellite laptop but could NOT see the mouse cursor. F5 is the key. You can try hitting it and the space bar key, or it and Windows key Or it and CTRL key. I did all of those and got back my mouse cursor. I'm not positive which one combination did it. It did work.

Use 'FN’ Key and ‘F5’ at the same time. It worked for me. In Toshiba Satellite laptop.

"To enable your touchpad manually without clicking any of the F5, F6, etc. buttons:

1. Go to ""Touchpad settings."" You can find this by searching ""Touchpad settings"" in your settings search bar.

2. You will see a category labeled ""Related Settings."" Underneath this, click on ""Additional Settings."" This will open up a new window labeled ""Mouse Properties

3. To the farthest right, you will see a tab labeled ""Device Settings."" Click on this tab.

4. You will now see your devices. Click on Luxpad or the name of your touchpad, and click the enable button below.

5. After enabling the touchpad, click the ""Apply"" button at the bottom right corner and then ""Okay"" to ensure your changes are saved."
