"Hi @ventosa,

It should work even though you have got the wrong RAM module for the computer.

The hardware reference manual for the computer shows that it should be a DDR3 10600 1333MHz and you have got a DDR3L 12800 1600MHz.

DDR3L can work in place of DDR3 as it can operate at either 1.5V or 1.35V and a PC3 12800 1600MHz will also operate at 1333MHz.

Is there another ram module installed in the computer as well as the one shown? If so perhaps they will not work together as sometimes the modules have to be “matched” as far as speed, latency etc is concerned.

Have you tried the “new” RAM module by itself i.e. remove the other ram module to see if it works?

Have you tried the existing ram module in both ram slots to make sure that the 2nd ran slot works OK, if there has never been a module installed in it?

If the existing ram module works in both ram slots and the new ram module works when installed only then the ram modules will need to be a “matched pair” for it to work.

If the new ram module doesn’t work when installed by itself then it is faulty or not compatible for some reason with the computer."
