Kenmore model 110 will not fill on wash but will on rinse

Kenmore model 110 will not fill on wash but will on rinse Water temperature or cycle (normal, ultra clean, permanent press) does not seem to matter. Washer will not fill for wash portion of cycle, only rinse.
