My generic PS3 gamepad won't stop vibrating when plugged into my phone

My generic ps3 controller works on both my computer and my Android phone, but it has two issues. It doesn't ever vibrate when I use it with my computer, and as soon as it's plugged into my phone it vibrates and never stops. As I said it's generic and pretty cheap, but I assume there is some kind of general fix that works with most gamepads. If not, is there a way to just permanently disable the vibration all together? I don't have any soldering tools, but I may be able to open it up to do something albeit not my preference.

"If you want to get rid of the vibrating, hardware-style, open up the controller and disconnect the rumble motors.

Good luck!"

"Go to the controller setting in your ps3 and turn the vibration to off

I hope this work"
