Repair needed for broken "press switch" Aroma glass tea kettle

The "press switch" on my glass Aroma electric tea kettle has broken off. I can push it back in and use the kettle, but it keeps falling off. There isn’t a replacement part available at the Aroma website. Has anyone tried glueing or otherwise repairing this? The kettle is model AWK-165M.
