Why are games so slow on my PC

i dont know if this is on the right forum (if it isn’t tell me), but games on my PC are so incredibly slow its impossible to play them. I mean seriously, for most games i get an average of 5 fps. I need 60 or 100 fps, i would really just be happy with 20 ish. What can i do to increase the framerate for games?

"I’ve looked up your specs, and everything except for the gpu looks good. 8 GB of ram should also be enough. There is a site called system requirements lab that I use all the time. You can look up your game, and it will tell you the minimum and reccomended specs for a game.

It should make it easier to look for the right card that runs those games well and fits your budget. Just make sure that your power supply can handle the card.

Also, as @deimosgtr said, you really will benefit from an SSD, as it can load data much faster than a standard mechanical hard drive. Usually people keep a mechanical drive as their boot, or OS drive, and run their games off of their SSD.If you have any more questions feel free to ask! ;)"

First of all, try turning the settings of the game you are trying to play to the bare minimum, though it’d be nice to know the games you’ll be playing and resolution. You may be able to get some playable rates but a GT 610 and FX-4100 won’t get you far in 2019. I’d suggest you should what @deimosgtr said: find a gaming pc. Find a PC with at least a GTX 1050 or RX560 for 60 fps+ at medium settings in most games.

upgrade graphics card, and switch to a Solid state drive, also at that price it’d be better for you to buy a gaming pc from ibuypower. they’re very reasonable and at least more modern
