Why do I receive error code 29 when I attempt a restore?

Why do I receive error code 29 when I attempt a restore?

During a software update using Itunes the update process was halted and an error message was displayed that said that an unknown error ocurred and that the update was not possible. Now the phone is not recognized by Itunes, and will not power up. When I attempt a restore I receive the same message that the restore was not possible due to an unknown error (code 29). Any ideas would be appreciated.

"From the Apple support site it appears that ""Error 23, 28, 29, 1011, 1012, 1611: These errors may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow the steps in this article and also attempt to restore while connected to a known-good computer and network to isolate this issue to the device. If the IMEI or MAC address is missing or is a default value, this can also confirm a hardware issue.""

Have you tried to restore with another computer?"
