ZIF connector is broken, is there a way to replace it?

ZIF connector is broken, is there a way to replace it? When I was taking the back cover of the tablet off, the ZIF connector was broken and that might have been part of the reason as to why my tablet screen wasn't turning on properly, is it possible to replace that part, if so, where would I be able to find a replacement?

"I see a part number and source for the ZIF connector in this discussion for Surface 32GB battery connection. While replacing my battery today, the connector on my Surface self-destructed (I can send a a pic if it would be of any help). I have worked with these connectors in digital cameras and the computer field before I retired a few years ago.

I would like to repair my Surface, at least well enough to recover some files on the surface mount 'hard drive'. Did the above connector turn out to be the right part?

I do regular backups to the SD micro card in my Surface, but still some things left on the machine. This was an experiment in integrated hardware for me - I'll be sticking to devices with simply removable/replaceable data storage and batteries, as in every laptop I've owned, as much as possible from now on."
