2004 Gas Club car will not start. I arched the wires on the ignition.

2004 Gas Club car will not start. I arched the wires on the ignition.

I was looking for a wire to attach a volt meter display too. I arched the wire on the ignition switch during my search. I changed the solenoid thinking that was the problem. I checked the 10 amp fuse and it was OK. I am not sure what to check or change next. Any help would be appreciated.
