keyboard not working correctly

keyboard not working correctly

when using keyboard I have to press the letter before the one I want - eg. To type "d" I need to press "s", I am unable to use key "a"because there is no letter before it on the keyboard. I have tried other keyboard preferences other than qwerty with the same problem. Can this be repaired
