Why is my alcaltel one touch not turning on?

Why is my alcaltel one touch not turning on?

I bought the phone in USA last year, it worked fine. When I came home to UK, it stopped working. When I charged it the charging light came on, but the phone never did. Does it not work in the UK or something?
