Why is my ON light always on even if all the knobs are off?

Why is my ON light always on even if all the knobs are off? My toaster is brand new and i used only once. The second time, the ON light kept turned on even though the oven was off. Is there anything I can do to turn it off?

Don't know your toaster but was wondering if the timer control knob should be at the red arrow position and not at the blue arrow position as shown in the image below. Apologies if you have it already there
