Amp an subwoofer trouble

Amp an subwoofer trouble I have a 2008 dodge Nitro i hooked up 2 12s an when my amp turns on it kills my car speakers. I had to wire in the adapter on the back of my head unit. But as soon as u shut the amp off my car speakers come back.
