Black screen with movement at top

I have a vizio model E371VA I used RCA cables to plug a VCR into it and the picture and TV were fine . I turned everything off and left for vacation when I came home and turned the TV on there was a black screen. The Vizio lights are on with a weird glow on the screen and at the very top when I play a movie there's half an inch of picture playing and sound is on. When I hit the menu buttons or input buttons nothing comes up. Help?
