Dryer going into multiple cycles on it's own.

My dryer seems to be going in to three cycles on its own, from the timed cycle to more dry to another. All in a row. The third cycle is when it finally stops. Which it's getting hot. Just the other day it finally quit on us, so now I have to test the thermal fuse and the cycling thermostat.
