Error use audio3 for dvi connection

Error use audio3 for dvi connection Just got the dish hopper but when we turn off & then on there is no sound. Error message please use Audio 3 for DVI connection. If I go through input on Sanyo remote and get back to hdmi1 the sound comes on. What can I do so it will just come on? ANSWERS:
