How to replace the AC condenser?

How to replace the AC condenser? I went ahead and refilled the freeze on gas on the low pressure end of the vehicle refill pipe. A man told me to relieve the pressure from the high pressure end and continued to fill with freeze on on the low pressure end. The condenser turns on but no cold air comes out.
