iPod Syncs but Hangs on "Okay to Disconnect".

iPod Syncs but Hangs on "Okay to Disconnect".
I have a 15GB iPod 3rd Gen. When I sync it puts the songs on the iPod. When it finishes it says safe to disconnect but then hangs and wont reset. It also wont update and hangs on the update as well. Any Ideas?
