Maytag Dryer lint is wet, vent is clear

Maytag Dryer lint is wet, vent is clear

My Maytag dryer ( it is not a gas dryer, but that was the only option about) when drying it gets hot and tumbles but it isn’t drying. There is wet lint along the door and none in the trap. I have replaced the hose and cleaned out the lint trap, but still not drying. It is like steam when you open it. What else could be wrong? It is the Maytag quiet series, but is very loud right now.
