My cursor has stopped working and I can't pause without it! Help pleas

My cursor has stopped working and I can't pause without it! Help pleas I can't figure out a way to pause anything i’m watching without the air remote and it’s so annoying. It’s charged and everything else works but for some reason the cursor won’t come on again! Any suggestions please? It’s not even old! I tried resetting the tongle but hasn't worked, thanks in advance
